Thank you for this! I agree that each mother is the only one who knows their situation and their baby best.

Babywise was EXTREMELY helpful for me and my 3 babies who are so close in age (1.5 to 2 years apart). Like you said, the book is very very clear that you should feed your baby when they’re hungry, even if that means before the scheduled feeding time. I could mention all the good things about it and how many statements even mentioned above are misconceptions, but the best part about it that I’ll leave here is that it helped ME be a healthy mom, so that I could give my babies my best and a fair chance to them to be healthy as well. 🙂

May we all keep being our best and giving our best, and helping other mamas to do the same! xoxo

My daughter in law tries to follow it to a “T” with a baby that is showing it doesn’t work for her and she is 6 weeks old and mom still makes her go hungry for as long as 45 minutes! You are not doing anything good here if you ask me! So very scary!

Hi @Wanda S Levy, I just replied to your other comment as well, but I also thought I’d leave you with a different resource here if you want to download it and pass it on to your daughter-in-law: https://www.babysleepsite.com/15-free-baby-sleep-facts-new-parents-must-know/
The link will help you sign up to receive our free guide with 15 tips for new parents to help with the super early weeks. It’s a great resource. I hope it can help!

Personally Babywise technic was too stressful for me! I tried it and it wasn’t good for my baby or for me! But I did use the principle of making routine and some of their advises

@Katerin – Thank you for your comment, and yes, Babywise is just not for everyone! Great to hear you were able to use bits and pieces, though! Please stop back in to “see” us again soon.

@ Jessica Miller- Thank you for writing, and you obviously feel very strongly about the Babywise ways. I’m sure many families are happy with the book, and hopefully (like every other piece of advice), take it with a grain of salt, and make it work for them without compromising their parenting philosophies.

@ Lori- Thank you for sharing what works for you!
