Hello! my 9 m.o. sleeps pretty well at night and at naps (2 1-1 1/2 hour naps and nightime sleep from roughly 7:15-7:00). She uses a pacifier and generally doesn’t wake much at night. She does sometimes, and usually if we just put her paci back in she will fall back asleep. lately because of teething, she was waking at night and ive been resorting to just nursing her to soothe her and to ensure a quick back-to-sleep guarantee. She definitely eats at these feedings but im not convinced shes actually hungry. Now she is only waking early between 4-6am and i let her nurse quickly then put back to sleep till usually 7:15. Most times at night if her paci falls out she continues to sleep. i think she just needs it to fall asleep initially…

my question is: does she need to be sleep-trained if she only uses it to fall asleep? comparatively to stories ive read i cant complain much! but im just concerned that she has the sleep association with her paci and i want to break it before she becomes too attached. any suggestions? ive tried giving her a paci that i cut so it doesnt offer the sucking which soothes her, but she just cries and i end up giving her a normal paci. Do I need to sleep train?? is it so bad that she uses a paci to fall asleep?

Also should i be feeding her at those early morning wakings? or let her fuss and make it to 7am? thank you!!!
