What do you do when baby doesn’t seem to take a full feed (In my opinion) only feeds for 3 mins max and that’s it. I then have to encourage another feed 30 minutes later in order to ensure baby gets full nap or else he wakes up and I have to go and feed in order to get him to complete his nap (although I wake him a little to know He is going back to bed) Is this a bad idea? Should I just let baby feed the first time and just leave it in order not to work against his metabolism.

Hi @Lola – Thank you for writing to us! Doing what you can to help him take a longer nap is fine if that works for you and your family, and helps fill him up for a longer nap! We do often see babies take short feeds if they happen to be easily distracted, really tired at feeding time, or just not very hungry at feeding time too! If you are concerned about his metabolism, speaking to his doctor about that is a good idea! Please contact us if you need any further assistance! Good luck Lola!
