My 3-year-old seems to not go to sleep until about 10:30pm nowadays (since summer started)! Yes, the sun being up until almost 8pm is a big factor (though we do have blackout curtains in her room), but she’s rubbing her eyes and yawning, yet still asks for more stories, says she’s still hungry and asks for more milk for more than an hour!
My fault for having her naps a bit later (usually naps are around 12:30pm-1pm when she’s in preschool), and now naps start around 2:30pm, due to summer camps, and classes in the morning. But it’s still driving me crazy! Both me and the hubby simply pass out after she finally falls asleep!

@Monique – Thank you for sharing! It sounds like the “toddler staller” phase is in full effect around your house! Mine too! 🙂 Hang in there!

I’m dealing with this for all 3 of my kids but LO2 the most who is almost-4YO. They (my older two) seem tired but they will just resist the bedtime routine and drag it out and it’s like they can’t stop moving their bodies. They will ramp each other up so I’ve had to separate them in different rooms to let my LO1 fall asleep. It’s 9:30 right now and my LO2 is still awake. This is crazy to me! I wish they would go to bed at 7-7:30 again. Not to mention I’d like to be able to clean up and relax then go to bed by 10 since I’m so tired every day from staying up later to get my usual things done and unwind. Lose-lose for me ? is there hope?
