@Viral – Thank you for reading and for sharing with us. Babies can be especially fussy in the evenings for several reasons and we’re so sorry to hear that your little guy’s sleep is being impacted by it! šŸ™ We don’t have enough details to adequately help you pinpoint why this is happening – it could be due his daily sleeping habits, his feeding schedule, the environment he’s in at bedtime, his ability to fall asleep independently, his tiredness or overtired state, etc. If you haven’t developed a consistent bedtime routine for him, this could be a great first step in settling down his evenings. Please consider reaching out to our Client Relations Team for more support and guidance, Viral. Hang in there – we’re here to help!

He is tired and sleepy but is unable to close his eyes (almost in the fear of missing out on this happening around him). Please help! how far is the light at the end of the tunnel? Anything we can do to help him fall asleep in the evening? He is 100% bottle fed (90% BM and supplemental formula). Thank you for all your help with this.

Hi @Joana, thanks for writing to us. I am sorry to hear you’re struggling at night with your newborn! You are not alone in this, and I know how frustrating it can be. With both my kids it was like this, and was poorly timed as it seemed as soon as their dad got home they only wanted me, and that was the last thing I wanted by that point. It could be that he just want to suck (either nursing even if it’s not for nourishment or on a paci), or there’s a potential that he’s gassy, among other things and of course the mystery that babies do what they want to sometimes! šŸ˜‰ Here is a link to download our free guide with tips for parents of newborns which may have some helpful information: https://www.babysleepsite.com/15-free-baby-sleep-facts-new-parents-must-know/
I hope this helps! Hang in there!

He is ok during the day. But none of the tricks and tips seem to work in the evening. His diaper is clean, he is fed, yet he still cries and screams.

Help.

Why are you bathing them twice a day???

Twice a week should be enough at 2 months

Never give an infant honey. Castor oil too? Honey given to infants can cause botulism.

Hi @Divya Saraf, thanks for writing. I am so sorry to hear your little one has been so fussy in the evenings! Fussiness can be the result of many things so it can be hard for me to say without seeing her full schedule as well as knowing her age. It could be dietary related, what her nap schedule looks like, etc. If you’d want a deeper look into the cause I am confident our consultants can help as they would look at a full history and be able to take it from there. If you want to do a little more trouble shooting, here is a link to our sample schedules so you can find the appropriate age and get an idea for feeding and sleeping requirements for her age: https://www.babysleepsite.com/baby-sleep-feeding-schedules/
I hope this helps! If you need more help, let us know and we are here for you!

She has her last feed before that in between 4-5pm, seems content. However at 6pm she goes crazy and cries her head off… the dr has told me that she should last at least 3hours between 2 feeds.
Have tried ruling out all the things that we do at that time like sponge, bath, stroll in the garden in her pram, ultimately we have to give her milk sometimes even in an hour, and then she goes to bed at around 7pm. I have even tried giving gas drops but dr said colic goes by this age. And this has been going on since she was about 2.5 months.
Just canā€™t understand what bothers her so much, she is otherwise a happy content baby.
Any idea ?
