My baby sleeps in his bassinet next to my bed. Is that a Co-Sleeping?

Hi @Ania – Thank you for writing to us! This would be considered “room sharing” but not co-sleeping or bed sharing. We wish you all the best!

@Bela I’m sorry, but I’d need WAY more details to recommend a specific course of action. That’s what my consultations are for. 😉 You might want to read the free guide and the rest of this series for more ideas. Good luck!

Have been co-sleeping wfor 10 months.. I have tried so many times to get him in his crib, but something always messes up the process… the last time I tried to get him in crib ( Via CIO), he learned he could stand up in crib and as soon as I would put him down, he would roll over and get up and would cry holding his crib like a little prisioner! I couldn’t take the scence, so I put him back in our bed, now I am wondering if I will ever get him in his crib. I read it is okay to let them cry and hang on to the side of the crib, but I don’t think he can get him self to so sitting position, much less, lay himself down! Any suggestions?

@Isabel There is a lot in between co-sleeping (if you don’t want to) and cry-it-out. I typically do not recommend cry-it-out for a baby who has co-slept for a long time like yours. You likely want to start slower. If you’d like to develop a unique plan for your situation, feel free to join my helpdesk! https://www.babysleepsite.com/helpdesk Good luck!
