Most 3 month-old babies are still eating every 2-3 hours during the day, and we are working to get most of their calories in during the daylight hours (though of course we expect to see several night feeds at this age still, too). So, this schedule works for most babies, but of course, everyone is different. You can always give it a try and adjust as needed. Hope this helps!

Thank you for writing and for using our 3 month old schedule as a resource! Feel free to make the suggested schedules your own! As long as your baby is getting enough ounces/feeds at the breast, and is growing and developing well, following something that looks more like the formula schedule should be fine! If you’re at all concerned, a quick call to the pediatrician to ask how many ounces/breastfeeding sessions he should be getting can give you specific insight based on his weight and growth – and give you peace of mind too! : )

I don’t think we have any articles on this, but in most cases, baby just kind of starts dropping that last nap on her own somewhere around 4 months, and so the “last nap” becomes bedtime.
